The ethics rules that govern our law licenses prohibit us from serving anyone who has a circumstance that is adverse – or potentially adverse – to any current or former client. So, when you contact us, before any information about your circumstances are revealed, you will be asked for your name and the name of any opposing party. Our staff will then run a “conflict search” to see if we have ever provided legal services to anyone else in your case. Our consultations are confidential. Even if you think you are sure we have never helped the other party, we are required to do that search before we can discuss your legal needs.
